Locals noemen haar la bonne p?re of “de goede moeder”. De moza?eken van de Romeins-Byzantijnse kerk werden in 2008 gerestaureerd na jarenlange schade door kaarsenrook en de impact van kogels tijdens de bevrijding van Marseille in 1944. Kogelgaten uit de strijd zijn nog steeds zichtbaar op de noordgevel van de basiliek.
